Our dedicated team of craftsmen and women at Impact Modular have embarked on a new and exciting project for one of our loyal clients, Archerfield Homes. With an estimated timeframe of just 4 months, the team are busy crafting 17 high quality, characteristic homes in our Peterborough facility.
Once completed, the pre-built high-end properties will make their way to one of the most sought-after villages in Suffolk, Monks Eleigh.
Dating back to the 15th century, the village was originally known as the resting place for Monks. Many thatched houses that surround the local 15th century church date back to the 16th century, which makes the setting one of a kind to welcome modular homes.
The units will be fully constructed at our factory, using a steel frame solution with external finishes in through colour render, soft red brickwork and clay roof tile. The through colour render will be in a series of warm natural hues, complimenting the local character of buildings.
Tristan Lee, Acquisitions Director, Archerfield Homes said:
“We've been looking for a way to differentiate ourselves as a new development company, with an eye on our consumers needs as we go towards net zero, by combining speed, sustainability and workmanship.
After speaking to varying parties, we've found Impact extremely collaborative in how they approach our needs as a development company and ultimately, the consumers wants and needs.
Sustainability isn't just about the houses themselves, it's also about the supply chain process. By having an estimated 52% less waste, and 30-50% quicker delivery times we can help to bring higher quality in higher volumes and without discomforting the neighbouring properties. MMC isn't just the future for the most affluent Scandinavian designed homes, it's the most important tool to help provide the homes needed now, for all areas within the income spectrum.”
The 3, 4 and 5 bedroom homes will be carefully transported for delivery to site, ready to welcome the new residents in just a matter of weeks after completion at the factory. The new modular homes are a perfect addition to the picturesque village, embracing modern methods of construction to provide high quality modern homes with a traditional character.
