Work on Bristol City project continues through Lockdown

Whilst COVID-19 continues to have a significant impact across the built environment industry bringing much of it to a standstill, it is equally acting as a catalyst, forcing improvements to the existing ways of construction.

Impact Modular are one of few companies who are able to commit to delivering our contracts, keeping the development of much needed housing moving, whilst safely abiding by social distancing rules.

In May 2020, we set out to construct 11 contemporary modular homes for Bristol Council at their Chalks Road Scheme. Our contribution to the scheme comprises of 11 dwellings, to be constructed above a car park, all pre-built at our 100,000 sq/ft manufacturing facility in Peterborough.

Our ability to build contemporary modular homes off-site means that under the current circumstances, we are able to commence with works safely, efficiently and on schedule. The modular designs embody crucial safety features and consider environmental sensitivities to construct resilient, quality homes for local communities. These product qualities have enabled us to procure this and many other projects via the LHC NH2 framework, a trusted procurement process designed to bring buyers and suppliers together in ways which benefit local communities.

Many local authorities are faced with lack of housing issues, and so we are proud to be able to support local communities by keeping our work going under these difficult times.
